What Is The ETC Program?
ETC is a free, short-term assistive device loan program for school districts and agencies in Missouri.  District or agency representatives can borrow equipment in order to try out the equipment with students and clients prior to purchase, for use when a personal device is in for repair, or for other short-term needs.

How Does It Work?
Districts and agencies must complete an agreement form signed by an authorized representative and send it to ETC for approval. Upon approval, a copy of the agreement form will be returned to the school or agency and borrowing can commence. There is not limit to the number of devices or times a school or agency can borrow from the program. All loans are set up on a six week cycle. Extensions can be arranged, but must be approved by ETC beforehand.

Items are shipped by DHL to the borrower’s street address. ETC pays all shipping costs. The loan package will include the device(s), instruction manual(s), return packing slip, and a letter stating what equipment was borrowed and the due date. Borrowers can make arrangements to pick up equipment at the ETC office, if they desire.

Borrowers may occasionally be placed on a waiting list for devices in high demand. If this occurs, borrowers will be notified and every effort will be made to keep the wait to a reasonable period of time.
